Description: Malus Admiration charming, dwarf, upright growing, shrubby, small tree ideal for restricted spaces and patio growing. Dense clusters of waxy white flowers follow dark carmine buds in April, followed by masses of apricot coloured fruits, lasting well into December. Otherwise known as Malus Adirondack. 

History: An open pollinated seedling of M. halliana ‘Koehne’. Selected and named by Donald Egolf, National Arboretum, Washington, DC in 1985.

Malus (Crab Apple Ornamental Apple)Growing Tips: Crab Apples are self-fertile, and very useful as pollinators for a variety of fruit trees. Full sun or part shade lover, best grown in fertile, moist, deep, loamy soils. Requires minimal pruning in late winter or spring to remove damaged, diseased or misplaced growth.
